I bottled a Bavarian bock the other day. However, I have seemed to lose and ABV point. The final ABV should be 8.3%. My ABV was 7.2% During the primary brewing and fermentation the nubers were where they are suppose to be. Numbers have been good throughout the process. Beer was happy and did its thing. Nothing out of the ordinary. I tasted a sample prior to bottling. It tasted like flat beer, but decent. Any ideas on how I lost a point. This is my third batch. First two went good.

Can you list your recipe, process, and gravity measurements throughout it? It's impossible to do more than speculate without more info.

I'm confused. You said the "numbers have been good throughout the process." If you had an OG and an FG, you've got the ABV. Where did you "lose" the ABV?

Did beer smith tell you 8.3 and you finished at 7.2? If so your OG was lower than what beer smith predicted or your FG was higher. Or
Both. It happens.
