I have never made a barley wine, so i figured it was about time i venture into this style.
I looked at several different recipes and came up with what i think would be a solid grain bill and hop schedule.
Take a look and see what ya think. Feel free to add your comments and suggestions.
This is for 5.5 gal

17# 2 row
3# munich
2# Vienna
6oz crystal 120
6oz crystal 60
3 oz chocolate malt

1.5oz chinook (60)
1oz centennial (25)
1oz centennial (10)

1056 yeast.

Looks solid to me. Only comment is; what is your mash efficiency. That's a lot of grain, and I can see the potential of making a beer with an OG high enough that the yeast will stall before it is finished. You could potentially have an OG of 1.125.

Last one I did, I took a 1.100 down to 1.010 and it is dam good. Although it looks dry from the FG, it is plenty sweet.

I usually get 75%.
Beer calculus is showing 1.113.
I have never done a big beer like this before so it will be an experience.
