Hello there,

I live in South Korea and I was wondering where I could get a list of brewers who can sell straight from their brewery. I'm looking to import some beers into this gosh-darned wasteland.

There aren't many. In most states breweries can't even sell to local bars directly, they have to go through distributors.

I havent done it but Ive seen that anderson valley brewing co. sells theres over the internet. I think it may be just by the 6. Damn good beer though.

The issue lies in that each State has its own, usually archaic or moronic alcohol import laws (taxation really). I would imagine that shipping to Korea will have the same hurdles.

Just drink Soju, it will grow on you with time.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Don't you think that getting that past customs is going to be a problem?? One day you will come home and find an empty box with a note that reads, "So Sorry!"

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

That sounds kind of like that dramatic tv/movies slow motion NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :D.

i don't know how it works in Korea, but in the states it's a three tier system: importer/brewer -> distributor -> retailer. It's kind of annoying sometimes, like when you're trying to track down Cantillion.

If there are decient beer stores around, maybe they can get beers for you, if you asks for a special order. I wish I could be more helpful :p.
