I got bored on Friday, my day off so I went to Trader Joe's and decided I was going to experiment with what natural juices they had. I have the following juices fermenting in 1 gallon jugs!!!

1: Strawberry/Kiwi with 2 cups of white sugar and EC1118 Yeast

2: Cherry with 2 cups white sugar and EC1118

3: Blackberry with 2 cups of white sugar, and EC1118

4: Peach with 2 cups brown sugar, and EC1118

All have taken off and are bubbling nicely. The Blackberry and the Peach have yeast cakes that are at the top, but are shrinking in size about everyday.

I thought with just $35 in Juices for 4 gallons, cheap sugar, and the EC1118 being only $.89 cents a packet, why not.

I am going to try to take pictures tonight and I will post them...

I also have 6.5 gallons of Ed Worts apfelwein going now for 5 weeks. I am really wanting to see what everybody is raving about on this!!!

Ah you shoulda picked up the cranberry pomegranate juice they have. I fermented the juice with a bit of brown sugar and man was it tasty right after bottling(if you like the tartness of cranberry). Good luck with the experiments. I've yet to ferment any juice that didnt taste great

I like pomegranate, but cranberry is not my favorite. I will have to try it though.
My buddy and I are going to try skeeterpee and might use some of the different flavored lemonades they have...

I love their selection though, and as soon as I find which one or 2 i like, I have 3 5 gallon carboys waiting for me!!!

I'm not too fond of cranberry and I love blueberry and my buddies did the exact same experiment... The cranberry came out the best out of all of them. I don't know why but it was all of our favorite and we all thought the blueberry was going to be the best... Interesting how things become very different once their fermented.
