After messing around with my first 5 gallon batch and being new to kegging, I finally was able to just leave it alone in my bottling bucket until today (im notoriously impatient) I kegged it and was surprised to find a 1/4" of yeast in the bottom of the bucket, I had been thinking I had a metallic taste to the beer and I kept drawing samples to test it and wasted almost 1/2 a gallon in the process!
Now I know to just leave it alone, I also now know what the yeast residue tastes like!

Well, you really do have to get bitten by "yeast bite" at least once just so you recognize it. There've been lots of threads started by folks who didn't get it and thought they were chasing something wrong with their kegged beer...

Cheers!

[edit] Cold-crashing before kegging pretty much eliminates the whole thing...
