I bought my keg, a used Corny Keg from Northern Brewer, and I started cleaninig it today. When I was swirling around the PBW in the keg I noticed that the keg is leaking pretty bad near the lid seal. Is this keg destined not to hold pressure, or will pressurizing it create an air tight seal? As a side note, I did also by the seal replacement kit, I just haven't put them on yet.

I have two corny kegs, one seals on it's own the other not so much. For the second one i use ample amount of keg lube and have to pull up on the lid when applying pressure to the keg. Once there is pressure in it, it stays sealed.

Mine leaks like crazy whe not pressurized. not a big deal, just make sure to check for leaks when u do pressurize it.

relax, have a home brew.
