I just drank my first few bottles of my late-hop IPA. It's really delicious, so I thought I'd share the recipe. Note that there are no hop additions before the 20 minute mark. Next time I brew it I plan on adding a half a pound of CaraPils, and mashing at 152-152.

How much bitterness are you picking up with your beer? I have a mostly late hopped Rye Pale ale in the primary now. We used 1oz Amarillo @ 60 min for bittering, I wanted to do all late additions but just was unsure of the end result. We added a total of 3oz of Citra and Amarillo in the last 20 minutes which should give us a better idea about hop bursting.

BeerTools is giving me an IBU of 67. Honestly, it doesn't taste that bitter. The hops balance out the malt, but the hop flavor is really forward and almost fruity. I don't like to beep my own horn, but this is one tasty IPA.:mug:

Sounds delicious. I'm in the process of trying to clone Surly Furious
and your IPA is similar. If you get a chance to taste the Furious
TAKE IT and let us know how yours compares! Thanks for sharing!
