I put together some ingredients that includes 7 lbs. of DME. In the past I've used kits that utilize LME. My final product has always smelled and tasted like molasses. After reading some threads I've come to the assumption that it is due to the caramelization of the LME during the boil.
I plan on doing a late edition with my DME. My question is... how much do put in to start? When do i make my late edition and when?
My plan is ... 3lbs at the beginning.
4 lbs with @ 15 min.
