Just when you think you've heard it all, a neckbeard shows up behind us in line at 3F yesterday, talking to his buddy about a Mariage Parfait. 'I think that gooze was barrel aged'

Was just before you ! I also heard this strange guy ;)
When he got a glass of eighteen months old lambic and understand eighty months old ...

Fun mystery question for the experts...

A pal in Belgium recently came into possession of a unlabeled 750ml c&c bottle of lambic, custom blend of De Troch, Cantillon, Boon and Lindemans. It was blended in (or around) 2013. There were less than 100 bottles made.

That's all the source would tell us. Who can tell me what it might be? Any guesses?

The man he got it from wouldn't divulge the blender, because it was a gift and so he feels shy about re-gifting. But we have perhaps enough info that maybe some of y'all might have a guess....

PDXAmbassador sounds like it could be an Uli/h.ertie blend as he does small batches, was blending in 2013, and uses all of those lambics.
I looked his Blends up on Lambic.info and forgot to Mention -- this is confirmed to NOT be the Beersel 2013 Blend that contains these lambics, and there aren't any others listed that fit the bill that I can find. I have a suspicion this is not an Uli Blend. Was there anyone else doing such things 4 years ago?

Surely some hobby blenders. However, not every Uli blend is on lambic info, so could still be an Uli blend, especially since you're not 100% on the year. Tell the person to stop being coy and just tell you who it's from.

Yeah, don't count on us for accuracy on Uli blends. That **** is impossible to track. That being said, it's probably just a Uli blend.

We nearly have the entire waiting line at 3F on Sunday covered because I think I was right behind those guys.
One of them was asking the other what he needed to buy once they got into the shop. Then again, I think over half the people in the waiting line couldn't tell a 3F geuze from a Duvel.
Been reading here for quite some time but registered just for this comment!

Yeah there were a bunch of people doing blends ofcourse, from the Netherlands Tommie Sjef but probably lots more from Belgium too.

The Lambikstoempers guys make a few blends, none of which are ever sold. They drink them and occasionally give some away ;)

Thanks guys! I'll let you know how it is! :)

I'm not going to comment on your churlish jab with the use of the word "just"; I will, however, since you are want to do so with others, point out your grammar error in your last sentence (an Uli, not a). ;)

Surely you meant to use the phrase "wont to do" to indicate that I habitually do something instead "want" which definitely doesn't work there.

Oh boy.

Well, I shouldn't complain, the Zenne b2 bottle that I might have the luck to try some day is due to family of a beerbuddy who happens to live in Brussels, planned to visit this week and asked on Friday "is there anything I should bring home for my visit?" and we were like: "Well... if you don't mind a little line."

But I'm pretty sure they didn't talk about barrel aged gooze or 80 months old Lambik while waiting in line.

I'm not so sure that "an Uli" is correct, it would depend on how you pronounce Uli. When I say it in my head it makes a Y sound? In which case it would be "a Uli". Granted I'm also not sure of dutch grammar rules which could be different.

Just wanted to pop in and say that although there was certainly a lot of muling and ******** at open beer days, the weekend was still absolutely incredible. 6 Euro pours of Zenne all weekend, and some absolutely amazing geuze cocktails while hanging out on the lawn was something that just can't be replicated. Just figure from time to time we should also focus on the good parts of beer too ;)

Also seeing Armand walk out in a suit and top hat was pretty awesome.

If anyone has the chance to visit, make sure to go on a tour. The pours of 18 month lambic from Armand directly from the barrel were pretty awesome, and Armand is absolutely hilarious.

That's pronouncing it incorrectly.

SeaWatchman Yes, wont, autocorrect on my phone, but I'm not habitually correcting people's grammar. :)

That would also be a spelling error vs. a grammar error.

Damn, how many do you think they had?
I added one to my cart and it wouldn't let me add a 2nd. Then when I went through the checkout process (I didn't intend to buy, only wanted to see what the shipping would be) I got an error message saying no more product in stock.
