God I hope so. Fonteinen Oude Geuze is amazingly good; I prefer it to Classic Geuze and even fresh LPG (aged LPG I will still keep an open mind about). I still have half a case that I've bought home from traveling, a lot of them from California.

Fonteinen Geuze basically didn't exist in NorCal for the better part of a year. No one had it. I was even asking beer buyers and they said the distributor just didn't have it. It started showing up again, but it hasn't been hanging around very long.

It may just be the area, but that's what I've seen. I'm waiting for the next WF sale and I'll try to snag a case or two, I don't have any 2013 yet.

To date I have only bought 750's but I am thinking about picking up a case or two of 375. They are easier to drink alone.

Yeah, I've been thinking about that too. I've been buying 12x 750's of a given year so far, but I might downsize that to 6-8 and then get a bunch of 375's. But I'm not really sure, since I'm really never drinking alone it's not as big of an issue, and storing the 375's is harder for me.

I drink one beer a night, usually a wild or sour of some kind. If it is a 750 I drink 1/2 and use a champagne stopper to save the rest. It would be easier to have 375's. The way I store though it would take up 2x the room. I still use stacked wine boxes, numbered and catalogued with contents

Yeah, but he was talking about getting a "case discount", which tends to mean 12 bottles at most stores, so it was a little unclear. 6 bottles would certainly make more sense price-wise, though.
At the store I frequent You get a 10% discount at 3 bottles larger than 500ml and a 15% at 6. They refer to that as the case discount. On small domestic bottles the cutoffs are 12 and 24 and for imports 6 and 12

3F Oude Gueuze is generally not hard to find. As Stu noted, it seems to come and go though. However, when I see it, I usually think "Oh, that's kind of pricey, maybe some other time" whereas when I see the comparable Cantillon, I usually think, "Oh ****, Cantillon, gotta get some NOW!" I really have to get over that psychological barrier.

When I was in the Bay Area a month ago, it was sitting on the shelves everywhere! I could buy cases of 375s if I wanted.

I do the same thing, I have started to really debate if the Classic is really worth a 10-20% markup over 3F

Wow, I've never seen discounts like that on such small numbers of bottles. They must really be overcharging on single bottles ;)

Same, I think I paid $17 for the last 750 of classic I bought and the last time I saw 750s of 3F OG the store had started marking them up to $25 from $20 due to an increase in price from Shelton. other places were between 21 and 23 prior to the increase

Yeah getting the 375's isn't the problem, it's storing them long-term. Lately I've been doing a fantastic job of plowing through the "beer I don't really want to keep" and also not getting any new stuff, so maybe some room will open up for them, but I'm not sure.

Since 3F OG is a better beer than CG, absolutely not.

(That said, OG is more expensive than CG around here (if you can find CG))

Opinions opinions. I think 3F is pretty harsh & has the least drinkability of the popular gueuzes.

what's the cause of burnt rubber/tire flavors that sometimes come up?
see, this would be the most disheartening answer; that it's something entirely with me, and nothing to do with the beer.
when i do not notice it, it's my favorite style of all beers. when i do, it's hard to drink at all.

Its not just you, I've come across it, most noticeably with 3F stuff. I think Zomer might have been the most pronounced if I recall.
