Jesus christ.
Mark your calendars: starting Wednesday, August 14th, we’ve got some new stuff for you to taste in our lambik-O-droom. On a beautiful day in 2012, Armand went out to Sevilla to learn about and taste fine sherry with maître-sommelier Andy De Brouwer, a journey which led them past traditional sherry houses where taste and process still reign supreme. Now, as you might know, sherry and lambik are made in a similar way, using wooden casks, both forming a natural layer of flor for protection. Didn’t that sound like the perfect excuse to lug home three Pedro Ximénez casks and nine Oloroso casks, more than forty years old, and fill them to the brim with young lambik? All of the beautiful brews that were made during seven years of experimenting and blending were bottled in six batches of Zenne y Frontera – of which four new ones – , who ask nothing more than for you to taste them. You were perhaps looking for the perfect excuse to just come on over to Lot; well we just gave one!
