Yea that **** bangs. I have one I want to age for a long time, but I also really want to drink another now with how great it is presently. How to get another...

If you're ever out this way I'll open one with you and you can have both of your wishes met.

Same if you're ever in.... Montana?

Had a December 2018 Vig a few weeks back. Really lightly carbed (like, barely any), very fruit forward, light sour and funk. Personally, I think it needs some time to develop. Have a few more bottles so will be interested to see what it is like in 12 months or so.

Seems like a regular occurrence for Vigneronne, or at least for recent vintages. Coincidentally I opened an Oct ‘18 bottle a few weeks ago that was also super juicy but nicely carbed. It was probably my best experience with a Vig, like a spritzy off-dry Mosel Riesling with some brett flavor and an edge.

That’s great, but where are the loonz?

Speaking of etre, my box from last quarter was shipped 7/13 and I still haven’t received a tracking update from USPS. Still shows “shipment being prepared”.

Not sure if it fell off a plane/truck/boat somewhere, or if it’s just sitting at customs and hasn’t been scanned into the system yet.

My buddy had about a 10 day lag before his showed up in the USPS system today. It happens.

My timeline with Etre has been pretty consistent over the past many orders. I request shipment, pay, wait a week, get the email that its shipped, wait a week, get notification that its moved, wait a week, get notification that its hit customs, pray, and either it shows up within a few days or it gets sent back and I start all over again. Between the summer pack, bokke orders, and general summer shipments, it's going to take a while.

For anyone planning to buy the BXLBeerFest pack, or that already has, I was told by Etre that they will probably not be doing proxies this time. FWIW.

BIAB confirmed that they will be. No word on proxy price, but I'd guess it will be in line with their recent 3F pricing.

Exciting stuff. Love the new labels. Unless I’m misreading, it seems that the new ZyF is for on-site drinking at L-o-D, which is probably for the best. I must admit that when I received an email with subject line “Zenne y Frontera” I got pretty excited about an online release a la the winter/spring packs.

Some will still probably get released at some point. Hoping it is available to go at Open Beer Days.

Any updates on Tilquin magnums hitting US distro?

Got no bites on this a month ago, but maybe folks have heard something now?

I talked to one bottle shop in Ohio where my parents-in-law live, and he said only three bottles made it to the Columbus market (and he got none). Two places I contacted near Boston hadn't heard anything yet.

These hit NYC recently. I had the opportunity to buy one but passed on the price ($75)

That actually seems reasonable. Sits around $65 USD for 3F OG shipped off Etre. Guessing the bottle count is decently less too. I understand the whole 2x 750mL cost is about half but different strokes I guess.

De Cam OG 375mL just popped up on Etre.

Tell that to my wife. $75 for a beer!

And BiAB has 3F OG mag for $39 plus shipping, which if you maximize comes out to like $50 or so.
