I start my first job this Monday, I'll probably start trading when I get my first pay check. The problem with stocking up at Cantillon is that when I get there I want to be able to drink so I can't take my car there and bringing bottles home on the train really limits the amount of bottles you can buy. Need to find myself a DD girlfriend I guess.

Invest in a good rucksack. I can carry 12 75cls in mine at a push... Then a case in hand for the short walk to Midi for the train home!

Boxes used to take 7-9 days door-to-door are now taking 2.5 weeks. It's an agonizing wait, but I have a box due to be delivered tomorrow/Saturday. Will report back if bottles are frozen/broken/leaked.

Almost had a box ship from etre last week. So glad I had Jonathan hold it till March. 2 weeks is an agonizing wait. It used to be 5 biz days for me.

Similar boat. I have a box ready but told them to hold off until the end of March. Don't know how long this Chicago winter will last...

I don't know, I heard Mayor Rahm is threatening to cancel Spring entirely if he loses this runoff...

Luckily I live in the suburbs and don't have to worry about that :)

But seriously, I want to finish up Belgian orders and be able to order stuff from U.S. shops. Need Crooked Stave and Logsdon fixes.

NON-LAMBIC DISCLAIMER: I also want to fill an Etre order with De La Senne and Jandrain-Jandrenouille to have loads of those to crush throughout the warm-weather months...

I just received a box from overseas (not etre). Everything was perfect. No apparent leakage, breaks, or freezing issues.

I shake my fist at your DHL 20th. One of the most under the radar gueuzes I've had. Had a rando sample of an unattended bottle share table 2 years ago. Still astounded as to the half full bottle left there to die. Been chasing that ghost ever since

If it means that much to you, I can probably get you a bottle. I think it's still available at DHVL. Feel free to PM me.

Yeah my beerplanet box took 12 days from announcement to delivery, will also update to see if the winter destroyed my lambic :(

When did Lindemans switch to a date code? Have been buying 2012 bottles here and there and went to a different store today. They had a few of the weirdly sedimented Aug 2012, but then new bottles with a code instead of an actual date. New bottles certainly look better. Can't beat 'em for $10 and on the shelf even here.

These are the highest priced retail bottles I've ever seen other than Utopias. If it doesn't come with a reach around I'm out.

So I'm guessing this Bzart Gueuze and Kriek are not worth the price of admission at $60 a bottle?
Not sure how has been lately, but the Kriekenlambik Totoropanda and I had a couple months ago was a drain pour. Incredibly metallic, and basically undrinkable. $60 is too big of a gamble, IMO.

I was going to post about this in the lambic.info group and never got around to it. I first noticed it in 2014, not sure on the month or anything. But yeah it is a straight code (not Julian or something obviously easily deciphered)

I can't understand for the life of me why they would make this switch.

Nearly $50 for the Bzart Oude Geuze here. The cost from the distributor works out to high $30's per bottle

Do post, I'd like to get a concensus. I'm not sure if there is one though as I've seen the dates and codes all over. I have April 2013 Cuvée René Geuze.
