Just wondering ...
I took the lid if my fermentation bin today to take a sample.for my gravity reading ..and it smells super eggy ..
I've read that lagers do smell like this so I'm guessing this is ok ? Yeast has been pitched for about 4 days :)

That is a sulfur smell generally produced by lager yeasts. Should be OK.

After 4 days you should be getting close to FG, bumping the temp it helps clear up some that sulfur smell. Also look at the yeast descriptions some will say low sulfur production.

There is a slight patchy amount of yeast cakes on the top of the wort ..would of expected a more vigorous fermentation by now :(

Most of my lagers show very little activity. And smell awful for a few day. Normal for most lager yeast that I use.
Cheers :) just new to it all so not accustomed to the usual activity when brewing :) just an inpatient sod lol
