Hey guys!

A gotta beer, a pale ale using S-05, that's done fermenting but i won't have time to keg for a couple of weeks because i'm going out of town. As an experiment, what would happen if I "lager" this ale? I'm planning of lowering the temp to 35-40 and leave it there while I'm out. What do you think? Good idea?

TIA,
Mawa

If it is done fermenting, this is basically just a crash cool. Just about everything will fall out of suspension and you will be left with very clear beer.

That's crash cooling, although it doesn't take two weeks, but your beer will be fine, and mighty clear.

Doh, one minute late. Great minds think alike.
