Brewed up a Brown porter on the 1st. I changed up what I normally do and just for fun used 50/50 Vienna/Munich as the base malts. I sure tasted sweet!

Sunday I brewed a SMaSH with Maris Otter and Yakima Goldings. Mashed it on the high end, and ended up with a final gravity of 1.050. This sucker should be freakin' tight!

Somone mentioned smoked sausage, and brew earlier, sounds like a good way to enjoy my alt in october as well.
:)

I brewed a supercharged English Bitter on Saturday and an Octoberfest on Monday.

Did L'il Sparky's Nut Brown on Saturday. Farly uneventful, which is a good sign...I also did it without my brew buddy and I realized that my sobriety while brewing is inversely related to how many people are helping out/hanging around.

Saturday I bottled 10 gallons of BMs Cream of Three Crops and Sunday I brewed a 10 gallon batch of Scottish Export/80.

I think a three day holiday deserves its own "what are you brewing" thread.

So how bout it.

Do we have some 999's going up this weekend?
Maybe some Octoberfests in the works?
Perhaps a strong ale in time for the holidays?

What will we smell coming out of your brewhaus this weekend?

I brewed two small ales. I think your right, I better get a big one or two going for Christmas. If it's good I'll have some great gifts ready for good friends in some bombers and half-sterns.
