I recently purchased two new Kegco ball lock kegs. I have a question regarding the little posts/springs inside the ball lock mechanism on the keg:

Are the posts and springs fitted for In and Out? That is, is there a significant difference between the posts and springs for each? I know about the notch and such but was wondering about the innards (beyond the dip tube). Could placing the wrong post/spring combination together after cleaning and sanitizing lead to issues with carbonation, etc?

Thanks in advance!

The guts inside the post (poppet, spring, etc.) should be the same for each.

The posts themselves are specific to CO2 in and liquid out.
