Issue:
Recently started kegging my homebrew after bottling for quite some time. I've found that I'm not getting the same level of carbonation in my draft beer as I did in my bottles.

Background:
Bottling
through standard process (3/4 cup priming sugar)

Kegging
1) Tried letting kegs sit for 5 days at 15psi - moved back to 10psi
2) Tried rolling the keg for 5 minutes at 25psi - moved back to 10psi
3) Tried rolling the keg for 5 minutes at 25psi - moved back to 15psi

None of these attempts for carbonating give my beer the good carbonated taste with head. They are all (OKAY), but just not the same as bottling.

Should I attempt priming sugar in the keg? If so, is there a different process?

Priming sugar works as well.. can you elaborate on what type of beer and how you determined what pressure you want it to be carbonated to?
Also, what temperature is all this being done at?

My standard practice is:

  • Keg goes into the chiller and on the gas at 30PSI.
  • 30-36 hours later, I shut off gas...discharge excess pressure from the keg and taste.
  • If it's fine...then it's down to serving PSI and go.
  • If it's a bit flat...I reattach at 30PSI and give it another 12 hours...then repeat as necessary.

Make sure your keg is cold or it will take forever to carbonate.

I seem to do okay with this method. :D

What BM said or set it to 12 psi and leave it for 2 weeks. It looks like you are lacking PSI and/or time.
