the kegging vs bottling debate runs on and for beer both sides have there pros and cons. but cider is another story.
kegging cider gives you the ability to control the level of sweetness without pasteurization or artifical sweetners.
in order for me to get the same or simialr resutls i have to ferment dry bottle with juice and sugar and a plastic"tester" bottle . then after a few days when the plastic one is hard i have to pasteurize the glass ones . my results doing such varied greatly. much easier to just keg and keep cold at any desired sweetness.
for non dry carbed ciders , IMO kegging is far superior to bottling.
