I have a Danby kegerator that will not stay cold. Any suggestions? The temp varies between 39°and 47°…i would like to get it down to 34°.

It sounds like you have a temperature control problem. I would look into temp controllers or maybe a circulation fan to help even out the temps.

I understand about the fan, but is replacing the temp control a hard project? Should I get a new one from Danby or buy aftermarket?

It's very common for kegerators. I haven't done it to mine yet but the STC-1000 is cheap and popular. A little searching on this forum should turn up some how-to guides.

Edit: I didn't really answer the question. Definitely go aftermarket. Yours might not be faulty, just not as accurate/precise.
