for christmas my supportive wife bought me a kegging system and our roommates gave me their old mini fridge :rockin:. i now have draft beer! the only problem is I chipped away the ice from the freezer and took off all the plastic covering so it is exposed to cool better. it cooled too much, I put it on the highest setting and it dropped to 15 degrees and froze my keg. I have the co2 and keg setting out front of the fridge hoping it will melt and be good to drink by tonight.
my plan is to turn the fridge to the lowest setting and continually test the temp and try to stabilize it around 38 degrees. what do I do with the frozen beer? is their any way to recover it? should I unhook the co2 and drain it from the keg and just try to carbonate when it thaws out?
