- Tasting Notes
- This has a great wheat beer flavor with just a bit of honey at the start.
I have been playing with getting a good honey wheat beer that had both the honey taste and a real wheat flavoring. After several attempt I have come up with this one that is probably one of the best I have ever tasted.
Kansas Honey Wheat
Grain:
5 lbs. Pale 2-row Malt
2 lbs. Munich
2 lbs. Raw Wheat ( got this straight out of the combine during harvest)
2 lbs. Wheat Malt
1 lbs. Grits
3 lbs. Honey
Hops:
1 oz. Cenntenial 60 min.
Yeast:
Notingham
Notes:
Add honey at flameout.
Mash schedule: 90 min. at 154°F
I cannot keep enough of it made for family and friends.
