bi·sul·fite [bahy-suhl-fahyt]
noun Chemistry .
a salt of sulfurous acid, containing the HSO 3 − group; an acid sulfite; a hydrogen sulfite, as sodium bisulfite, NaHSO 3 .
Also, bi·sul·phite.

As I understand it, yes.
