Hey Everyone,
Brewing my first hazy/juicy IPA and it's been in the fermenter for a week and all my hop additions are finished. I took a hydro reading today and it was 1.010-1.011.

Most things I read said min of 2 weeks in fermenter before bottling but I feel like this would pretty much be right at my expexted FG. Am I good to bottle now?

More info:
Batch had the following:
-400g crystal 30
- 200g flaked barley
-200g flaked oats
-3.6kg (6.6lbs) pale malt extract (LME)
- using Mangrove Jack's West Coast Ale Yeast (M44)
-about 5.5 gallons total volume

Take another reading in 2 days. If it hasn't moved, attenuation is (likely) finished.

US or UK gallons. Either way, it doesn't appear to be in 'IPA' territory. Maybe 1.045 if US gallons, or 1.037 if UK. I guess it is a session IPA. With that low an OG, you are probably done.

Calder, this was a pre-packed kit and I had been thinking the same thing about it being more of a session with that amount of LME. Either way I wouldnt expect to get much below .010. Would taking a reading today to see it's still same and then bottle be fine?

It was US gallons as well

You really need to wait at least 2 days between readings to be sure. Nobody can tell you that it would be fine to go ahead and bottle today.

I think I'll just wait till next Saturday. I'm not really in a huge rush and that way a bit more yeast and stuff can fall out.

Leaving it in the fv longer helps limit the sediment in the bottles. I dont bottle much but I always leave the beer in the fv for 3 weeks. It won't hurt to wait and patience is a great thing to have .

Glad it was US gallons. UK gallons and it would be more of a lawnmower beer rather than a session IPA. Give it a couple of days for the next sample, and if the same, it should be done.

Right now, you are balancing clarity (this may not be much of a factor in a hazy IPA) vs hoppiness. The longer you wait the more hop goodness you lose, but waiting to bottle means less yeast (and sediment) in the bottle. I think you want to get the most out of the hops, so you do not want to wait too long.

Wait a couple of days, if sample is same as before (or within a point), then bottle. Pour carefully.
