so, for the past couple weeks there has been a character on Fear the Walking Dead who wants to bring beer back to the post-apocalyptic world.
last episode, he gave up his "famous" recipe
he specified %s for the grain bill
68% pilsner malt
15% wheat malk (& specified Weyermans)
7% flaked oats
10% vienna malt
but he gave the hops in grams, no times given, no ibus
40g Slovenia hops, guessing Bobek
70g Czech Saaz
Belgian AND French Saison yeast
mash at 151-152
pitch at 68 and hold for 10 days, minimum
tweaking in Beersmith gives me the following recipe for a 5-gallon batch
8lb 5oz Pils
1lb 13 oz Wheat
1lb 4 oz Vienna
14 oz flaked oats
2.5 oz Saaz for 60 minutes
1.5 oz Bobek for 60 minutes
OG 1.065 FG 1.012 ABV 6.9%
29 IBU 4.6 SRM
