My wife worked in a restaurant where occasionally they would make fantastic soups with whatever ingredients were kicking around in the walk in cooler. The soup was aptly named Cream of the Walk In. Im going to take the same approach with my second batch of beer today. I'm looking for input on a recipe. Here are my in stock ingredients.

Grains:

White Wheat 10+ lbs
2 Row 10+
Pilsner Malt 6+
Flaked Oats 2 lbs
Flaked Wheat 2 lbs

Hops:

Hallertau 8 oz
Citra 3.5 oz
Magnum 1.0 oz
Simcoe 1.5 oz
Nugget 0.5 oz
Chinook 0.5 oz
Warrior 0.5 oz
Saaz 1.0 oz

Yeast:

US-05

I was thinking a blonde IPA maybe? Or a Pilsner Hallertau SMaSH?

Thoughts? Ideas?............................and go!

I did a "clean out the cupboard" batch about 10 days ago. Coincidentally, I had almost the same assortment of ingredients to choose from.

Ended up making a Wheat Pale Ale, using 7 lbs German Pils, 3lbs of White Wheat, an ounce of Citra at 60 min and half an ounce of Cascade at 5 min. I used a 4 gal batch size to keep the OG around 1.050-.060. Beersmith came up with 1.055 and 40 IBU. I put just over 4 gal in the fermenter at 1.058.

The OG sample tasted good; I think it will end up a pretty decent beer.
