I made a Java Stout from an extract kit from Midwest supplies. I bottled it about 5 weeks agao, and it is still not carbed enough to drink. Is there an issue or does it just take that long to carb up a stout??
Thanks!!

It depends, bigger beers can take a while to carb up because yeast tends to be tired and they will work a bit slower in a higher alcohol environment. I had a RIS that took a couple months to have decent carbo. Just be sure to keep your bottles as close to 70* as possible. How much priming sugar did you use? What was your OG and FG?
