Just put this in my fermenter last night, and the air lock is bubbling away. This is my first all grain batch(biab) and I think it went pretty well. I was wondering, for those who have brewed this recipe how did you like it and how would you describe the finished beer?
For 6 gallons at the end of the boil
9.5 lbs british pale ale(I used maris otter)
1 lb brown malt
1 lb crystal 40
10 oz chocolate malt
Mash at 152F
1.25 oz fuggles at 60 mins
.5 oz fuggles at 10 mins
Ferment with wlp013 London ale yeast

Jamil's brown porter (Who's Your Taddy?) slightly modified, is my house brown porter. Mine is a bit more malty along the lines of Samuel Smith's. I ferment this porter using ESB 1968 London Yeast, and last year took a Best of Category win for Porters and Stouts.

Nice! Congrats on that. Ive never seen samuel smiths taddy porter around here so I havent tried it. But fullers London porter is one of my favorites so that is why I decided to brew this beer. I've heard that fullers is more roasty than this recipe though
