Help me with this Brown Ale recipe (mini-mash)

4# Marris Otter
2# Light DME
.33# 40L Crystal (5 percent)
.33# 80L Crystal (5 percent)
.50# Chocolate Malt (6 percent)
.25# Victory Malt

Willamette 1oz at 60 min
Willamette .50oz at 15 min
Willamette .50oz at 2 min

IBU 30
OG - 1.056

What do you think?

Looks good. I just finished my brown. It's AG but aside from that it's nearly identical. I reversed te quantities of the victory and chocolate though. More nutty and less roasty.

I was adding more chocolate to actually get a chocolate note, will this give it to me or could end up giving me an astringic bitterness?

Oh you'll be fine. Half pound is quite common for browns. I wanted mine to be about 15SRM and more nutty in flavor. It looks good.
