Great photos, great beers and all, but COME ON - the toaster oven was right there. You were less than ten feet away from greatness.

NICE!
Oh ****. Gotta go.It’s fun when I finally feel like I can participate in here because my local released their first Barleywine today:

Fantastic base beer. All the Maris Otter and rich sweet flavors, but with a big, drying Cognac finish. Not getting a lot of port, but I didn’t have time to let the short pour warm up. I guess I will have to revisit when I crack a bottle.

Yeah if this lasts til Saturday I’m going for sure.Oh ****. Gotta go.
Reorganized my cellar. Found a whole bunch of stuff past their prime. This is from 2009. From my first or second trip to Santa Barbara, when I used to live in LA.
Cork n cage top. From a brewery that I've never heard of at that point. No way it's still good.......

It was pretty damn good! Cork kept the carb perfectly! Crazy! Didn't see this coming. I really enjoyed it.
ISO '17 Massive.yesterday Gigantic released 30 cases of scotch BA Massive aged in Macallan barrels for almost two years, $15/ea - brewery only.
only a few weeks left of 2018 and this is making a strong charge for PNW/Portland beer of the year for me.
also, they still have bombers of 2016 BA Massive ($20/ea) and 500ml of 2017 BA Massive ($15/ea) available to-go at the brewery.
Where'd you get your bottle from?Last year's batch blew me away. I was excited to get this year's batch and has to open ASAP.

Liked it a lot. But memory is a really tricky thing. This didn't seem to have the depth of flavor as last years did. This years seemed to have more of an apple brandy vibe. I really enjoyed it, but last year's was a stunner. I'm planning to do a blind side by side at some point and really see how it goes.
Definitely seek it out.
Tavour. OnlineWhere'd you get your bottle from?

At a tasting tonight and enjoyed the III barleywine by Brew Gentlemen. Amazing beer. The cinnamon/coffee b-bomb and the new Chaga-mon imperial stout aged for 31 months in Jamaican rum barrels from anchorage brewing also felt a bit like life.

Due drinking all that beer and getting fat I’ve been forced to switch to whiskey.
