just discovered this thread! ba barleywines have been my favorite since i first had weyerbacher insanity 5 or 6 years ago. they just announced they're releasing a cinnamon version, i hope its not going to be horrendous. anyone have any thoughts?

Keep adjuncts the **** out of barleywines so that #NewMoney cicerones who want their beer to taste like food will continue to ignore them.

i'm mot sure how this will taste but the bruery has made some pretty good adjunct bwines including mash and grind and mash and coconuts. i got a mash and french toast on deck, i guess that would be the same as this one.

but for the most part i agree, adjuncts can take too much away from the barrel

I can appreciate the adjuncts (looking at you CC Bbomb), but really I do not even want the hops showing themself in my barleywines.

I do not have a lot of faith in Weyerbacher and adjuncts. I like Sunday morning Stout but thought Sunday Mole was pretty bad.

Snowflake.

Not sure if I should post here or the cellar reviews thread.

Didn't mean to let this go 8 years, but here we are.

Great, full mouthfeel with lots of carb still. Mix of sherry and paper with some spice on the finish. Alcohol not present in nose or taste, just a warming sensation after you sip. Past its prime, but not bad.

I have a 2006 in my fridge. Sounding like this weekend would be a good time to crack a past it's prime bottle.

I have a batch 1 I've been meaning to drink. Glad to hear the beer is holding up.
