My boys are at their mom's this year so my Christmas Eve is Friday night. :D I get to get druck and sleep in. :mug::rockin:

and what's YOUR excuse master Shecky?

Alright, I have company then. I'm writing a couple stories for Friday's paper. My wife just left to play the 11 pm service at church. I'll be fast asleep by the time she gets home.

Made a nice dinner for my family, did the Santa thing after the kids went to bed. Now work calls.

Yahoo.

Good job Dad! :rockin:

Just got back from the step grandparents. Got the boy's presents under the tree and he is eating his last meal of the night (4.5 months old) Then it's downstairs with SWMBO for a couple Sierra Nevada Celebrations and some Wii And/Or Christmas Story on TV. Then off to bed for our first christmas as a family :ban:

Enjoy that first family Christmas.:mug:

I just got back from dinner with my best Friends and their family. A couple that were on the borad of my last church and supported me when we parted ways. They consider me part of the family...I even did their son's wedding last summer (he was in town with his wife, he's in the Navy AND I THINK maybe a future homebrewer the way he keeps asking me questions.)

Honestly this has been one of the best Christmas Eves, I've had since my brother died on Christmas eve 12 years ago.

Now I'm settling in. I have all this nifty beer Chriso sent me, the trouble is I have a head cold, and really can't appreciate anything. No smell or taste is penetrating...I might have well be drinking BMC for all it's worth.

I just cracked open a Bell's two hearted hoping at least the hop bite would penetrate my clogged noggin. But no luck, so I'll save the fancy stuff till I can smell them.

So what the heck are YOU doing online now???

BTW, Merry Christmas, My Friend.

Myself, I'm sitting at work waiting for the rain to start. So far hardly a drop, damn forecasters are getting it wrong again. Cheers to all of you and hoping you all have a merry Christmas.

And a Merry Christmas to you, Revvy. I'm working while the wife is doing her duty as the church organist for the third time today.

I'm fine with it. Got A Christmas Story on in the background, a SNCA right next to me and you fine folks to keep me company.:mug:

Given the circumstances, I can't think of a better place to be right now. There are a lot of great people here.
Time to open the growler of Ahwahnee Amber Ale I got today. :mug:

Had dinner with my ex's family...still part of MY family and they welcome me and SWMBO. Winding down after a few Bell's Porters and SNCAs as well as some Apfelwein. Time to relax and see what's up on HBT! Merry Xmas to all!!

Christmas story is great... Last year I brought an lcd projector home from work and watched that and Santa Claus Conquers the Martians on my 12 foot high loft walls.

I met a guy a few years back who knew Jean Shepherd, the guy who wrote the story and narrated the movie. Guy said that Shepherd was one of the biggest ******** on the planet.

I was bummed to hear that. The story and the movie are freaking hilarious. Figured the guy might be sorta cool.

Maybe I need to put the top back on that growler or something. Old age is turning me into a light weight. Auditory hallucinations.
