I'm studying clinical laboratory science, and I've been thinking that it would be pretty easy for me to use my school's labs and equipment for something useful:trying to isolate wild yeasts from wild starters. I'm just not absolutely sure how to go about it? What's the best medium to culture on? Incubation temps? Would it work so that I just plate sediment from a starter, incubate and see what starts growing, transfer growth under laminar flow and grow the culture up?
