I brewed the Caribou Slobber that came with my kit from NB. I am interested in doing a side by side comparison to see how it stacks up. As it is I believe that it is a pretty good beer especially for my first batch. Let me know if you can help.

We have a few local breweries here in MS,TN,AL. I am not looking for a large amount maybe 2-3 bottles for comparison. What are your tastes and i can suggest ?

West coast IPA, saison, barrel aged stuff. I dunno. I really like all beer. Anything that I can't get out west is high on the list. MD is $8/sixer out here so some of similar value would be okay.

Might I suggest Yazoo SUE? It is an Imperial smoked porter. I have never liked any smoked beer before I tried it. Very smooth and a little sweet smoke at the finish. It is ~9.50 for a bomber. Also Cocodrie from Bayou Teche is an Tripel IPA that I feel is tasty . Sue is rated 92/100 on BA and Cocodrie is rated 87. Both bombers run about the same price.

Also 4 pack pint cans of Mississippi Fire Ant From Southern prohibition is solid. Monkeynaut by Straight to Ale is also a solid IPA.

Hey since you are local and all... can you ask about the imperial pilsner? I had it there a while back and it was killer. I drank a bunch of that early in the morning right when they opened and then headed over lolo. :drunk: That was maybe less than ideal. :D I have 2 bottles of old bluehair in the cellar right now. Curious to see how they age. Thinking about opening one soon. Pretty light abv to keep around too long I think.

Sorry , I didn't take pictures. I received

Undercover Ale

Thanks for the great trade. My wife said she is sorry the cap wasn't crimped tighter, I will cut her some slack she wanted to be involved.

I will ask when I get back to their tap room. I run into a couple of thier brewers every so often. The are concentrating on their Summer brews currently. It is a very busy brewery and beer is FREE when you visit, four - 7 ounce glasses per visit.

Point city,

No worries about your wife. It is great that she wants to be involved. Much better than the alternative!

Mont,

That was the problem last time. Free beer!
