Has this had it

That's a definite pellicle. If you're making a lambic it's awesome! If not, it's toast.
Had one get some kind of infection this spring. The more acidic flavor actually made it a pretty good lawnmower beer. I retired the fermenter since it was my oldest one and I'm blaming the scratches for the infection but I still drank the beer. It wound up being pretty quenching and not half bad even if it wasn't what I wanted.
Try some see how it tastes.
It's hard to blame the peeks for the infection. Some people open theirs often to check gravity and monitor fermentation. Did any liquid get sucked in from the airlock maybe? Sometimes if you pick up the fermenter with the airlock on it can suck a little through. Especially if it's one of those S type airlocks.
quit worrying.reseal wait for more than 2min between air lock bubbles, rack or bottle....itll be fine!
It is possible some liquid got sucked back as i had moved the fermenter, i going to stick them in my cupboard from now on, and just tasted it and its not bad still got the hoppy taste to it, so I bottled from deep and left the last couple of litres and chucked it. Fingers crossed
