You know it sucks for us West Coast guys who like football.. I am a Seahawks fan and on away games, the games start here on the west coast at 10:00 AM.. Now I love Seahawks and I love beer and I love both of them together.. But I always feel a little twinge of guilt cracking open that first beer at 10:00 am.... Do you guys start drinking earlier on football sunday??

Question: "Is 10:00 AM too early to drink beer if football is involved?"

Short answer: No
Long answer: Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

I use the double digit rule over the 5pm somewhere rule. It lets you drink alot earlier in the day and also lets you get to sleep earlier so you recover faster :)

The rule was verified to be official when my wife and I were last in Jamaica at Couples when their main bar opens up for all beverages at 10am. So its an official rule!

But drinking rules go out the window with football, fishing, brewing, and cooking/smoking/bbqing.

Other than the regular 5o'clock response I was thinking of. I all goes back to that American stigma of drinking to early. He!! if ya wanna a beer at 6 am Ive found a nice oatmeal stout works well :rockin::drunk:

I feel your pain about 10:00 football. I think a beer is called for anytime football is on! There's a bar in Bend, OR that I like to go to when I can for football. I usually start with a coffee and a bloody mary. Then it's beer time. It seems a little more civilized!

I used to live in Ireland, and would stay up super late, watching the ESPN stat-tracker so I could follow the Colts. I even got one pub to put a game on once!

So drink up and GO COLTS!

I'm a fan of football but I'm even a bigger of Rugby. That comes on a 4 in the morning so nocturnal drinking is required.

let's see. When I was growing up, the pubs opened at 10:30 am, so you would have been a raving alcoholic by by half an hour. These days the pubs in the UK may be open 24 hours, so you are no longer an alcoholic if you move to the UK. Hope that helps! :)

Edit: As I remember, at 10:30 AM, the only people you saw were other drunks getting the hair of the dog, and some ******* with a VERY noisy vacuum cleaner. ;)

I find the fact that you are asking this question very suspicious. A real football fan would never ask this. ;)

LMAO... I am not a REAL football fan.. I already told you, I follow the Seahawks... Very far from real football the past couple years... :(

I'm a niner's fan. As long as they are playing, people understand why we're drinking.

Oh, and we have a sports bar (Blue Bonnet Sports Bar) that opens at 6AM everyday. It's right next to Blue Bonnet Mobile Home Park too.

Our local microbrewery had a breakfast food / beer pairing starting at 5 AM earlier in the week. On a Monday, no less. :)

With or without football you can drink beer anytime of the day. I have had plenty of beer even before 10. It's not like it's hard alcohol, you have to wait till lunch for that. :cross:.

The way the game's going, i think you NEED to drink!

ACC games often start at 12, so we are out in the lot cracking our first beer around 7:30 usually. I like to start off with coffee with a shot of beam, then head on to beer drinking. If I don't start drinking that early, there is no way I could force myself to watch nc state play every saturday!

why does it look bad if im buying beer at 6 AM? I work 3rd shift so six is like normal peoples 5.I love the oh look at that alcoholic, he starting early.
