started a premix irish stout i got from this site called hophero.com. hope it turns out good, this is the first one ive done from that site.

I got to see (and smell) this one while MtBrewer was brewing it. I think it's going to be a good one!

The roasty malts seemed like a great match for the East Kent Golding hops. It was nice and dark, too.

I checked out HopHero's site - it looks like a pretty good place to browse around. There were some nice mixes that would be worth a try, and I liked that a lot of specialty and adjunct grains are sold by the ounce, rather than the pound.
 
I've bought quite a few 3G and 1G extract and all grain recipes from him in the past and they all turned out good. I may have to check his site out again and see what he's currently offering.
 
my original post was alot longer but then i went to get the url for the photo and when i got back it was all gone and i just went "ugh. im not writing all that out again with this ipod". so i just shortened it but TasunKawitko pretty much said everything i did in the original.

oh yeah the only thing i did different that came with the mix was i added .03 oz irish moss at 15 with the second hop
