IPL (India Pale Lager)

As the name would suggest it is hopped like an IPA but is lagered. Has anyone tried to make one of these. I saw one today from Pyramid Brewing and was temped but didn't grab any because my pipeline is full at the moment.

Just curious. I did a quick search and didn't come up with much info on it.

For a while. Base Camp in Portland has a pretty good one. Widmer has Hopside Down. You should be able to find both up there.

Sam Adams has an IPL that is probably available in most areas. I brewed one using Wyeast 2112 (California Lager) so I could ferment warm.
