Inkbird ITC-100 set up question?

I got a new inkbird ITC-100 pid over the weekend and I downloaded both manuals from their webpage. Unfortunately, the documents state that a J thermocouple is either set at a 4 or a 5, depending on which document you are following. Does anyone know of the definite setting? Thx in advance
