yeah, a ton of us got nervous the first time we saw yeast rafts. i know i did.
boil water, pitch the yeast and pray it turns out 6 weeks later
i still get nervous after about 2 years of brewing.. LOL
I watch mine with a flash light, is that weriod.. LOL
hahahaha...crazy, I have a flashlight next to mine also!!no way, you too? i have my ryobi 18v flashlight sitting right next to my swamp coolers, so i can look down into the carboys and see whats going on! i though i was the only one.
I have the same thing on my IPA. It's was started on 1/17 and i am leaving it for another two weeks until I keg it.
I hope it is ok but after all the infection threads, I am getting nervous.
Boy, you guys are weird. I have a bucket fermenter and I don't even open it until bottling unless I need to add something. It still makes beer. The yeast know how to do it.
