I already know the answer to the question, but want to have other eyes and opinions. Infected?

These are part of a 15 G batch I brewed about 1 month ago, I kegged 5 Gal about 2 weeks ago, and these two were left, i just only got around to kegging them and surprise surprise!

What I think happened: All three 5-gal batches were sitting at about 62F for 3 weeks, and i did a diacetyl rest where i went to about 70F for a couple of days. I kegged 1 batch and left the others fermenting, however, I went back to about 60F, This is where i think things got funky

I may just dump both

Take a look, tell me what you think

Without a doubt infected. Looks like lacto, but who knows. What kind of beer is it? If it's a stout, I'd let it ride for 6 months and see how it tastes if you like sours. No bad colors, so it's safe to drink.

I just dumped the bottom one

Its an English brown ale, so it has stoutish character, 6 months in the fermenting bucket? or kegged?

I definitely think its lacto, sours are alright - whats the game plan?

Pity. I had one that looked just like it (also stout ish). Got a little disheartened when I saw it so I put the lid back on and let it sit another month or two. Finally decided I wanted an open bucket and I still had my bottling stuff within reach so I figured I would just go ahead and bottle it. Couple weeks later I had a friend coming over so I stuck one in the fridge. He drank it, didn't die, and though it was ok. Lack of death out of the way I had one a few days later. Not bad at all. Drank the whole batch. I keep hearing around these forums that nothing that grows in beer can kill you so...:mug:

I've heard the same....I put it back in my fermenting chamber....this happened to me once before with an IPA about 3 years ago...I still bottled it and it turned out well...i'm hesitant to do anything with this one, especially since I could always use an open bucket...besides I already have a keg of the same brew, and its damn good....pity all 3 batches couldn't make it...I may give it a month tops in the fermenting bucket then see what happens...i'll also revise my sanitation technique, as thats what i'm more worried about
