I am using one of those wok burners (23 tip 175,000 btu natural gas) on my brew stand. The only air intake is thru holes at the base of each tip and no way to regulate or increase the air intake in order to get a cleaner burn. I have played around with the distance of the burner from the bottom of the pot but still can't get a clean blue flame. I continue to get a lot of red/orange flame indicating not enough air. The situation gets worse as I add heat shields to the stand causing more oxygen starvation.

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions? Thanks, David

I did see a youtube video where a guy connected an air pump with a variable speed controller to a homemade copper venturi and mixed air and propane to get a good clean flame.
