I've noticed the cooper's cans all have a white coating on the inside. so theirs,at least,would negate the canned flavor. And as I said,I've found that keeping canned LME's in the fridge to be the best storage method when I get them home. So any aging of the extract would be greatly slowed down. I also add LME's at flame out to keep darkening & off flavors nil.
 
Coopers kits are great. I am talking about extract in unlined cans that are at least 6-8 months old when they hit the stores.

Yeah,I know the ones you're refering to. I see them a lot on the UK home brewer's videos. Just a plain can,I forget the kit names. I guess that makes it easier to figure which to buy. But I' also have to say the Briess extracts my wife used worked quite well too. So that's another good one. But freshness is always a good thing,obviously. So I agree on that.
