I'm about to bottle my imperial stout in bombers and i've realized i don't know how much priming sugar to use. An online calculator i found (which didn't have imperial stout as a style choice) suggested 2.4 oz (by weight) of sugar for 5 gallons of beer.

It's been a while since i've bottled, so my question to you all is : does this seem like enough? I'm used to always just using 3/4 cup but i've never weighed it to see how much it is by weight.

thanks

I am brewing an Imperial Stout Extract Kit right now as well. It is a 5 gal recipe.

For priming sugar the kit calls for:
2/3 cup corn sugar in 16oz water.
or
5/8 table sure in 16 oz water.

Bring the solution to a boil and pour into the bottling bucket.

I always use corn sugar.
