I don't know that I would consider Montana or Colorado "the midwest"
My list would be
New Glarus - Spotted Cow or Moon Man
Great Lakes Brewing - Pretty much all of their stuff but Dortmunder Gold is my favorite
Goose Island- Honkers Ale or Matilda
Leinenkugel's - Big Eddy line

I can' think of more right now but you looking at Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio as the midwest

Ok. I agree Montana is not Midwest. But it doesn't matter. Great beer is great beer. Thanks for your suggestions.

Definitely get Myrcenary from ODells! Also, Vanilla bean buffalo sweat and ethos from tallgrass. Tank7 and 80acre wheat IPA from boulevard. Also chain break IPA from deschutes. Not widwest, but very good!

+1 to Great Lakes- Edmund Fitzgerald Porter is my favorite.

Founders brewery is also pretty much no miss. I prefer their dark offerings.

Bell's is another solid brewery- I especially like Third Coast Ale, Best Brown, and Kalamazoo Stout. They make a Midwestern Pale Ale but I can't recall ever having it.

I forgot about Bell's Two Hearted
Capitol Brewery in Madison makes good stuff too

Surly in minneapolis is great...I like most of the beers from Lucid too. Check out Steel toe brewing and Fulton is solid as well. All from the twin cities.
I definitely second bells and new glarus

Central Waters (Amherst WI) has some great offerings as well. Their Illumination DIPA, Peruvian Morning and BBS are great beers! Jolly Pumpkin is Michigan I believe as well.

Most anything from New Glarus is amazing. I'm partial to the road slush and coffee stout. Staghorn is good too, but its currently out of season.

Other than that I would try Lakefront Brewery out of Milwaukee and Finch's in Chicago. My buddy got married at Lakefront Brewery and had all their beers on tap for free. It was a glorious night to say the least.

Thanks for all the great suggestions. I didn't order them all yet. I do have access to some locally. Totalwine is not far away.
Cheers.

Daisy cutter from half acre, anything from Founders as well, three Floyd's also. Lots if great breweries in Illinois and Michigan to look at!

+1 to Three Floyd's - their scotch ale is delicious.

Anything from Great Lakes in Cleveland. The porter Edmund Fitzgerald is great. So is Elliott Ness their amber lager. The Dortmunder as mentioned earlier is delicious as well.

Founder's breakfast stout, and their porter are really good. So is their rye.

Bell's - Two Hearted Ale.

Summit Pale Ale

Summit Great Northern Porter

Bull Falls Brewery - Five Star

Bull Falls Brewery - Nutbrown Ale

Oso's - Dank

Oso's - The Big O
