Hmm, not wanting to hijack this thread. I'm sure if you do a search, you can find honey from Georgia or Florida online, at good prices. I just wanted to mention that shipping USPS is very quick and economical.
Priority Mail uses a flat rate on their boxes: "if it fits, it ships for one low price" and the USPS price list says "send for one price, regardless of weight or distance". Flat rate, though there is tiny print that says "up to 70 pounds". You can fit a lot of honey in those boxes, especially if it's in 80 oz containers.
Yes I can and have paid for it - probably more than most here.....Jeez. can you imagine the shipping on a gallon of honey?
Dunno how far it'd travel for only 5$......How about 5 gallons? I think that's 60 lbs... I think I'll take 5 gallons if shipping is reasonable... wait who said $5 a gallon? tricked me
Well, to here, it costs, for a single gallon about the 70$ mark and that's USPS (UPS/DHL/FEDEX are all considerably more). So it I want something really unusual, then to make it cost effective it has to come 5 gallons a time - shipping for that is about 240$ and at an average price for the honey from somewhere like the Beefolks, then it works out to me, at about £4.50 which is expensive but worth it if it's something that I can't normally locate here.....How much does shipping a gallon usually cost?
