I have a suspicion that my boss knows I surf the web during work hours. I'm the IT guy, so I imagine it's actually kind of expected. HOW MUCH, though, might surprise her.

I am always quick to jump on any problems, though, and I think I am appreciated here (haven't been talked to about bad work yet), and thanked for my efforts, so they just let stuff slide.

Or maybe I'm such a bargain that they don't want to replace me with anyone else...

We have intense work blocks, then a lot of down time while we wait for the next request, so he doesn't care. He'd rather us mess around on the internet in the office, then disappear so he has to come find us when he needs us. Being a crime analyst has its perks

Plus, he loves the beer I give him!

Fortunately my wife works, and we have some savings. But we just moved across the country two months ago and having a grand old time trying to find work.

Worst part is the boredom. Which is probably why I have 20 gallons of homebrew at the ready. lol Brewing 10 more next week too. :rockin:

My boss loves the homebrew I make, and is fine with me being on this site. However last week two new girls where getting viruses on their computers so my boss asked the IT guy to check what sites we where going on.

He called me into his office and said, “I knew you get online to research beer and stuff, but wow that is all you do? How do you have such high sales” hahahaha. Not good, be didn’t care much. I do feel I can give more, so I have been toning it down. I still have the highest sales in the office so he doesn’t mind much.
