So brewed my first batch back in November. Fast forward through primary and secondary, all went well. Bottling day, was well, bottling day. Couldve gone better but the beer got into the bottles. Then my Noob impatience started. Three weeks of agony!!! 21 days of daily staring at my lovely bottles. I did so good!!! I did not crack open one single bottle!!! Today the 12th is my three week mark in bottles. Sadly, and issue has arose and I have to leave town for a few days and cannot crack open my very first home brew. I could almost cry!!!!

Throw some in the fridge before you leave and they will be good to go when you get back.

gonna bottle my first batch this weekend. Don't know if I'll be able to hold out a full 3 weeks without cracking one open. And if I was you I'd be drinking a warm one before I got on a plane or at least setting one in the freezer if I had time.

Congratulations.

I think that you are the first person who has ever waited a full three weeks before trying one of their first bottles.

3 weeks!!! I start drinking my IPAs after 2 weeks i dont thik they make it in the bottle for more then a week or 2 after that

man...my first batch didnt last maybe 2 weeks in the bottle. I keep telling myself that I needed to taste it early just to see what its like. I found a bottle of it when I went to bottle my second batch...after about 6 weeks in the bottle and it was awesome.

It has been agonizing!!!!! I'm like a child that has not been allowed to open his Christmas presents!!! But that was what Revvy said lol, 3 weeks at 70.

No offense to Revvy or any of the others, but am sure I will be "testing" a bottle or two before the 3 week mark.
