Well because I love beer and cooking I thought why not try to homebrew. A member (Thanks for the link Cpt_Kirks!) here linked me to this sight to get my knowledge up on how to. I am currently in Iraq for a couple more months and the week I get back I will start my first batch and it will be called "home sweet home".

And what’s with the ""4. WWOCMFS--I came up with this one myself--and it will be used as an inside joke to infer sarcasm. If you've been around the forum at all in the past few weeks, you've read the numerous threads that our nice (and now banned) Marine friend contributed to. Nuff said. Here's what it means; use it often. What Would Our Classy Marine Friend Say? ""

I am a Marine, what does that mean, seems I have missed some history here in homebrewtalk.com......Are you implying Marines are sarcastic and narcissistic in nature?.... ;)

Welcome aboard HBT! Is that the right thing to say to a Marine? :cross:

Anyway, I hope you get home safely, and when you drink your first beer that you made yourself, well, it's going to be awesome.

Welcome to HBT!

I must have missed something (was someone banned?) but there is plenty of weird history and acronyms around here to keep new folks guessing. We have a moderator with ugly junk, we get druck instead of drunk, there are lots of EAC (you have to find that one yourself), and spousal units have their own special name.

You can amuse yourself getting learning our language while waiting to get home safely and start brewing.

Welcome aboard, and (soon) welcome home!

Prowl the boards here and use the search function.

Don't be afraid to ask, we were all noobs here once.

:mug:

Welcome, Leatherneck. There are a few other Marines or former-Marines (in my case) on the board. Get back safe and get brewing!

Woah! I haven't heard anything about the "Classy Marine" in a long time. How did a noob dig that up?

Anywho, welcome to the forum. :mug:

:off: I'd put my money on Pistols knowing enough acronyms to make me puke! :D

Classy Marine topic, I read in the "read before posting noob section".

As for knowing enough acronyms to make you puke.....I have started my own war I have ironically named, GWOA (Global War On Acronyms). I spend at least 5-10 minutes a day like WTF did I just read because it has so many acronyms in it.

I look forward to all the banter that I see coming....:D

Welcome to HBT. I have a BIL in Iraq and am awaiting his safe return next month. I look forward to reading your posts. Home safe!!!

That was so long ago I couldn't imagine that he had dug that out of the woodwork. Is it really in the beginner forum? I'm going to have to go to the "read before posting" thread just for a laugh.
