I enter ingredients in BeerSmith, nothing comes up. What gives?

I did a deep virus clean with Norton and lost all recipes. Now when I go to create new recipe nothing comes up in the field, like my grains, hops etc. And I lost all my prior brews except gravity, date, and name, no ingredients come up in that dialog box....any ideas?

Go to the beersmith website and check the forums. I had the same problem and had to delete some file.

man is brad quick, i got all my recipes back and everything works now i just had to delete a corrupted file....highly recommended.

That's happened to me a few times. Was it the "newopts14.opt" file in the Compatibility Files folder?

Yes. I had a virus or something on my computer and I did a deep norton scan and then I opened beersmith and nothing was there...went in and deleted that file and then i was golden. awesome fix i was worried i lost everything.
